I love this place. I didn't feel anything supernatural, thank goodness. The lobby had old-time charm. The receptionist was very welcoming and let me check in super early. The room was huge. The twin beds were comfy. There were coffee-making sets, an ironing board, hair dryer in the room. The bathroom had a bathtub and plenty of hot water. The toiletries were Gilbert and Soames. The hotel was close to several interesting areas and within walking distance of a lot of meetups for the group tours. There is also an excellent breakfast place a few meters from the hotel which is highly recommended - Quinn's.

Planters Inn was constructed in 1913. It stands in the southwestern trust/civic block of Reynolds Square, adjoining the Oliver Sturges House, which pre-dates it by exactly a century, being one of two houses originally on the plot. Formerly the John Wesley Hotel,Planters Inn was established in 1984.The inn has sixty rooms, and is in close proximity to The Pink House. Christine & Clay were delightful. Truly charming accommodations near everything. Book through Stash, a collection of historic hotels, and earn rewards!

Beautiful, historic, quaint .... LOVED the ambiance and the staff were wonderful. My husband is handicapped and relies on a scooter to walk very far. Because this is a historic building, there are a few steps. The staff was ALWAYS right there to lay down the ramp they had for the handicapped and helped us each and every time. We never waited for help. They also brought ice to us each evening.

A great central location and close to everything in the historic district and close to River Street. There's a parking garage next door, or you can valet your car with the hotel. The hotel staff was great, everything question was answered, events and places were suggested, and everyone was very polite and accommodating.

This hotel was overall a great experience for us. The location is wonderfully convenient to downtown and the staff were super helpful. We utilized the valet parking and found that it was cheaper than almost all the other hotels in the city by ~$10. Also, we found the rooms very spacious.
